Collaborating with two industry giants to jointly build a new integrated domestic ecosystem for gas turbine denitrification.
Release time:
Aug 01,2026
In alignment with the "Dual Carbon" strategy and the broader context of building a new-type power system both domestically and internationally, gas turbines—serving as core equipment for distributed energy generation and grid peak-shaving—are experiencing a wave of large-scale adoption; meanwhile, stringent ultra-low emission requirements are driving the industry to overcome technical bottlenecks in denitrification. On July 29, Shandong Aiyipu Environmental Protection, a specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative "Little Giant" enterprise in SCR denitrification materials, and Harbin Chenglin Technology, a national-level key "Little Giant" enterprise in gas turbine auxiliary systems, officially signed a deep strategic cooperation agreement. This collaboration between two leading enterprises from distinct sub-sectors represents a mutual advancement toward breaking through the bottlenecks across the entire industrial chain—specifically, "gas turbine system integration + denitrification catalytic materials" —by leveraging domestic collaborative innovation to address the pain points in the gas turbine exhaust treatment industry and establishing a replicable, full-chain integrated SCR solution for gas turbines.

I. Signing the contract marks a new beginning; top-level coordination will anchor efforts toward the green energy sector.
This signing ceremony was attended by core executive teams from both parties, who engaged in comprehensive discussions: Mr.Rong of Aiyipu, accompanied by heads of technology, marketing, and electrical engineering; and Mr.Lü of Chenglin, leading the core management teams from the four major centers—R&D, Production, Fuel & Electricity, and Quality—all gathered in Harbin to reach a unified consensus on exclusive collaborative R&D, joint development of full-scenario solutions, joint quality control, and shared market resources.
At the closed-door seminar, the Chenglin team systematically demonstrated its comprehensive design capabilities for gas turbine supporting systems across all models; both parties jointly conducted scenario-based simulations to address key technical challenges—including low-temperature catalyst compatibility, compact reactor integration, and long-cycle stable operation and maintenance under various operating conditions. During the signing ceremony, the general managers of both parties jointly witnessed the signing of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement, adopting the motto "Chenglin and Aiyipu Join Hands to Innovate the SCR New Ecosystem; Working Together with One Heart to Achieve Win-Win Outcomes" as their shared development framework, thereby establishing a deep, long-term industrial collaboration relationship.
Following the signing of the agreement, the Aiyipu team conducted on-site visits to the Chenglin Production and R&D Base and the Guanghan Gas Turbine supporting production line, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the native design logic for aircraft-derived gas turbines and small-to-medium-sized gas turbine equipment, thereby laying a solid foundation for collaborative efforts in the customized development of catalysts and the integrated matching of systems.

- Dual strengths complementing each other to break through barriers: Aiyipu focuses on advancing catalytic material core technologies, while Chenglin strengthens the foundation of high-end equipment.
Due to their high efficiency and flexible power generation characteristics, gas turbines are finding increasing applications in scenarios such as distributed energy systems, mobile power sources, and peak-shaving power plants. However, for the large-scale adoption of gas turbines, reducing NOx and CO emissions represents an unavoidable challenge.
Currently, NOx and CO emission requirements for domestic gas-fired power plants are generally becoming increasingly stringent, with some sensitive areas even requiring emissions below 30 mg/m³. As the most mature post-treatment solution, SCR technology can achieve denitrification efficiencies of 80%–95%, making it the preferred approach for denitrification in gas turbines.
The issue is that SCR denitrification for gas turbines and denitrification for traditional coal-fired boilers represent entirely two distinct technological domains:
• Different temperature windows: The exhaust gas temperature of a gas turbine typically ranges from 450–550 °C; however, after passing through a waste heat boiler, the catalyst inlet temperature may drop to 300 °C or even lower, imposing extremely high requirements on the catalyst's low-temperature activity.
• Differences in flue gas composition: gas turbine flue gases contain very little dust but have a high oxygen content and a high water vapor content; therefore, the catalyst formulation requires targeted adjustments.
• Differences in system design requirements: Gas turbine systems are compact and operate within limited space, which imposes higher demands on the design and system integration of the SCR reactor.
• Different reliability requirements: The O&M window for modified aviation-grade gas turbines is highly constrained; the catalyst's lifespan and stability directly impact the system availability.
This means that SCR denitration for gas turbines does not simply involve applying coal-fired power plant denitration technologies and catalysts; it requires deep collaboration between "experts in catalysts" and "experts in gas turbine systems."
Shandong Aiyipu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., as a "Little Giant" enterprise recognized for its specialization, refinement, uniqueness, and innovation in flue gas nitrogen oxide (NOx) control for non-power industries, has dedicated over ten years to the research, development, and production of SCR denitration catalysts. The company holds more than 40 patented technologies, operates a CNAS-certified laboratory, and allocates an annual R&D investment exceeding 6.5%. It possesses comprehensive R&D and production capabilities for denitration catalysts across all temperature ranges—from low temperatures of 160°C to high temperatures of 600°C—with product offerings spanning high-pore-count honeycomb catalysts ranging from 50 to 60 pores, integrated high-temperature dust removal and denitration systems, as well as comprehensive denitration technical solutions. To date, the company has successfully completed over 1,000 denitration projects and is a qualified grid-connected supplier for Sinopec, PetroChina, and CNOOC; its technical expertise and engineering experience hold significant influence within the industry.

Harbin Chenglin Technology Co., Ltd., as a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise recognized for its specialization, refinement, uniqueness, and innovation, has been deeply engaged in high-end gas turbine equipment manufacturing for over two decades. The company is a rare industry player holding both Class-A environmental engineering design qualifications and Class-I environmental protection engineering contracting dual qualifications, possessing core capabilities in the development of supporting systems for more than 100 different gas turbine models worldwide. In the fields of aviation engine test benches and small-to-medium-sized gas turbine silencing and filtration solutions, the company holds a domestic market share of 60%–70%, providing deep technical support to leading domestic and international enterprises such as Siemens, GE, Solaris, China Aero Engine Gas Turbines, Guanghan Gas Turbines, and Guosheng Gas Turbines, with its products currently available in over 30 countries across the globe. Chenglin possesses comprehensive capabilities spanning the entire process—from compatibility with gas turbine units and forward structural design of reactors to integrated complete equipment solutions and on-site implementation; it serves as the platform and engineering hub for the deployment of gas turbine environmental protection systems. Under this collaboration, Chenglin will undertake all core functions throughout the entire chain—including system architecture, complete equipment integration, operating condition adaptation, and engineering delivery—providing customized and highly reliable platforms for catalyst deployment, thereby effectively addressing the persistent industry challenge of the "incompatibility between catalysts and gas turbine systems."

This strategic partnership between the two parties represents a mutual alignment of philosophies and a powerful collaboration leveraging complementary strengths. Aiyipu focuses on material solutions, while Chenglin enters the market through equipment solutions; at the intersection of gas turbine SCR denitration technology, the core competencies of both companies are perfectly complementary—Aiyipu specializes in "catalytic materials," whereas Chenglin excels in "system integration." Together, these two areas form a comprehensive gas turbine SCR solution. This collaboration is poised to inject strong momentum into the development of gas turbine denitration technologies.
- Deep integration of industrial chains to establish a new paradigm for integrated denitrification solutions for domestic gas turbines
Under this strategic cooperation, both parties will engage in deep collaboration focusing on the R&D of SCR denitration catalyst materials for gas turbines, system design and integration, as well as quality control. By integrating their respective strengths and resources, the two parties aim to jointly develop an integrated "catalyst + system" solution for gas turbine SCR denitration, thereby achieving seamless integration across the entire value chain—from material development to engineering implementation—and realizing shared resources and mutual benefit.
Mr.Rong, General Manager of Aiyipu, stated in his speech that this collaboration marks a new starting point for both parties' pursuit of high-quality development, expressing hope that both sides can work together in the future to jointly write a new chapter of high-quality development in the field of gas turbine denitrification. Mr.Lü, General Manager of Chenglin, expressed firm confidence in the prospects of this cooperation, stating that he would make every effort to facilitate the implementation and effective execution of the collaborative project, thereby maximizing the value derived from both parties.
Currently, the application of gas turbines in scenarios such as distributed energy systems, mobile power supplies, and peak-shaving power plants continues to expand; however, the control of NOx emissions from gas turbines has long faced challenges—including a disconnect between catalyst selection and system design, fragmented engineering experience, and difficulties in cost control. Aiyipu's "catalyst + system integration" collaborative model breaks down the siloed barriers between the materials and engineering segments within the traditional industrial chain, enabling seamless integration from customized catalyst formulations and forward-oriented reactor collaborative design to full-chain quality traceability. This model not only holds promise for reducing the overall cost of gas turbine denitrification systems and shortening project delivery cycles, but also provides the industry with a replicable "materials + engineering" collaborative solution paradigm, injecting new momentum into the localization, standardization, and high-quality development of environmental protection equipment for gas turbines.

Those with shared aspirations do not regard mountains or seas as barriers; those who join hands will together embrace the future.
From the Zibo Catalytic Materials R&D Base in Shandong to the Harbin High-End Gas Turbine Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing Park, these two specialized, sophisticated, distinctive, and innovative enterprises have transcended geographical boundaries and integrated their upstream and downstream supply chains; through collaborative innovation, they are responding to the national "Dual Carbon" strategy and the development of a new power system, while jointly targeting the vast overseas market.
This signing ceremony marks a pivotal transition for the collaborative development of China's gas turbine denitrification industry chain into the substantive implementation phase. Moving forward, Chenglin Technology and Shandong Aiyipu Environmental Protection will continue to deepen joint technological research, shared market opportunities, and collaborative ecosystem building; they will leverage material innovation to drive equipment upgrades and utilize high-end equipment to facilitate the commercialization of catalytic technologies; they will persistently overcome key challenges in gas turbine exhaust treatment; and they will inject local innovation momentum into the green and low-carbon transformation of China's gas turbine industry, jointly writing a new chapter in the high-quality development of domestically produced high-end environmental protection equipment.
